About the event

Join Us at Our Peer-to-Peer Event for Dyslexic Students!

Calling all parents of dyslexic children! Bring your kids to meet and mingle with older students with dyslexia. This event is a unique opportunity to connect and gain insights from those who have navigated the school system with dyslexia. They will discuss their journey with dyslexia, their challenges, their accommodations and how they learned to be their own best advocate!

Why Attend?

  • Inspiring Role Models: Meet three inspiring older students either in grade 12 ,pursuing post-secondary education or early career who have successfully overcome challenges associated with dyslexia.
  • Personal Stories: Hear firsthand about their journey through the education system with dyslexia. Discover how they tackled obstacles, found their strengths, developed their voice and achieved academic and personal success.
  • Building Confidence: Listening to older peers share their experiences can boost confidence and self-esteem in younger dyslexic students. Helping them to realize that dyslexia does not limit their potential and that they, too, can achieve their goals.
  • Learning Strategies: Gain valuable tips and strategies that have helped older students with dyslexia excel in their studies. From study techniques to assistive technologies, discover tools that can make a difference.

This event aims to provide valuable support, encouragement, and a sense of community for dyslexic students and their families. Don't miss out on this empowering experience!
